We are of opinion that as an experi-

ment a dispensary should be established in the Wanchai

District of, the City for a year or two in the first

instance.

The Officer in charge should get

$1,200 per annum without private practice and his

services should be at the disposal of Goverment also

for other purposes such as domiciliary visits in the

district.

Rent and Medicines, we estimate,

would come to $1,300 a year thus making the total annual

expenditure up to $2,500.

Endowment of College of Medicine.

We agree generally with the views

set forth in Dr. Thomson's letter of the 13th. September

last and recommend that Goverment should endow the

College in accordance with the conditions suggested; the

licentiates, however, not being allowed private practice

while in the Government Service.
